Netflix Chooses Spot-On Star for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has now been chosen.

The platform declared this week that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve touched with their main hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a rendition of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the initial comic and anime.

This performer will work alongside several other fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to reality, including leader Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.

Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal more adjustments to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a perfect fit for the character. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

The platform’s adapted One Piece show is set to return for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
