Fresh Information Emerge Regarding the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

Fresh particulars have surfaced regarding the shocking passing of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their Brentwood, Los Angeles property on Sunday.

The Discovery

As detailed in an account citing a family associate, a practitioner arriving for an session was the first to notice something was wrong after failing to get inside the residence. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides nearby.

When she went into the home, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Another individual who had gone with her promptly called 911. Afterward, paramedics discovered Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, along with the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is now in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source challenged several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the estate, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that time.

The source also pushed back against circulated suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "concerned" about Nick's behavior in the preceding period. The source claimed the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This refutation applies to descriptions of alleged "erratic" behavior by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. Although the source stated they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that suggestions of a "blow-up" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement officials, the medical examiner had yet to determine as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports indicated the state of their bodies implied they had been dead for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the scene. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had not received medical clearance and would be unable to attend until Wednesday or later.
